Final Reflection on The Crucible

The Crucible was definately a book worth reading. I learned, if this is an acurate description of Puritans, that they had wierd superstitions. The Puritans are quite rash with their decision making and believe it is fine to kill someone if that person is a “witch.”

After reading this book I would like to find out who the actual people that the characters in the play represented were. I would also like to know how accurate the play was to the actual Salem witch trials. I would like to know more about why Arthur Miller wrote The Crucible. After reading this play, I would like to see a production of The Crucible, if I ever get a chance to.

I hear you dawg. They definitely had some weird superstitions, and I agree with you in that I’d like to learn more factual information surrounding the trials (who the characters represented, etc.) I also would like to see a production of the Crucible. Maybe good ole Mr. W will allow for a class viewing…?

It’s a good movie, but it’s got all this gratuitous nudity that they put in to get an audience and is rated R, so I can’t show it.
